Dartmouth’s Writing Center
The Writing Center offers free writing support to Dartmouth graduate students from all disciplines. They provide one-on-one coaching sessions for students working at any stage of the writing process and on any type of composition.
They can assist with materials including:
- Graduate coursework (e.g., research papers, presentations, literature reviews)
- Thesis proposals and chapters
- Conference abstracts
- Conference talks
- Personal statements
- Article manuscripts and grant proposals
Tutors can help you address global issues, including brainstorming ideas, the organization and structure of your document, the logic of your ideas, and the appropriateness of your argument for your reader. While tutors cannot copy-edit your work, they can provide feedback on grammar, word choice, and style.
