Dr. Fatimah Castro is the founder of Beyond the Tenure Track, a career consultancy that supports graduate students, postdocs and faculty in exploring and transitioning to careers beyond academic teaching and research.She is half-time Associate Director at the University of Pennsylvania Career Services as career advisor to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in science, math, engineering, social sciences, design and humanities. Dr. Fatimah is on a mission to equip PhD Job Seekers to access the wide range of engaging and meaningful careers available to them.

>> Hi, my name is Fatima Williams Castro. I am CEO of the [inaudible] tenure track. And I graduated from Rutgers in 2011. So, my company, what we do is we offer career advising for graduate students and for PhDs, particularly for those graduate students and PhDs who are looking to work outside of the academy. So those who say that they're not sure they want to become professors, they'd like to know what their options are, we help them to transition. And we do this through interview prep, through resume writing, through coaching, and also through speaking on college campuses by offering workshops.
