Want to be a teacher?

Educator’s Ally helps aspiring and early career educators find positions in K-12 private and independent schools nationwide. We are currently assisting schools throughout the country with their searches for entry level Visual Arts teaching positions for the ‘27-28 school year.

Early Career Positions – Teaching Fellowships

Many schools have teaching fellowship opportunities for early career teachers. These are paid, full-time positions. Teaching Fellows teach at the elementary, middle or high school level where they focus on a specific subject area, such as Visual Arts.

Throughout Teaching Fellowships, Fellows benefit from professional development and are mentored by an experienced faculty member in their department. Fellows also have a cohort of peer teaching fellows with whom they share and strategize about their successes and challenges. Strong candidates will thrive in an environment that asks for community engagement.

Teaching Fellow Responsibilities:

While the duties of a fellow vary from school to school, responsibilities typically include:

  • Classroom teaching

  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as student clubs, coach athletic teams, advise affinity groups, student trips
  • Serve as an advisor or co-advisor to a small group of students
  • If boarding school: participate in residential life, dorm duty
