Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire is looking for passionate part-time Grassroots Associates to advocate for freedom, opportunity, and prosperity in our state. Join a dynamic, freedom-focused team working to advance limited-government policies and policy champions. As a Grassroots Associate, you’ll connect with members of your community through door-to-door conversations, surveys, and community engagement.

Residents from Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts are welcomed to apply

This role is ideal for people who enjoy being active, having real conversations, and doing work that matters. This role is a good fit if you:

Compensation & Schedule

  • $25.00/hour starting pay
  • Weekly pay
  • 10–40 hours per week
  • Potential for bonuses
  • Flexible scheduling within your community

Many associates choose to work closer to full-time hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Canvassing neighborhoods to talk with voters about policy issues, AFP-endorsed candidates or policy champions
  • Work with the local engagement director to assist with outreach events
  • Maintain accurate data entry on door-knocking app to track progress and measure success
  • Provide feedback to supervisors regarding program activities, including input and observations gleaned from members of the public as well as the effectiveness of the provided equipment and tools to accomplish directed tasks.
  • Provide stories and photographs of your efforts to local engagement directors.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Ability to consistently work 10–40 hours per week
  • Subject to a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to walk around neighborhoods and climb a single flight of stairs, with or without reasonable accommodation

What to Expect:

  • Up-front training and education on the vision of AFP and the policies we fight for
  • Weekly conversations with supervisor to target specific areas of your community to canvass and committed hours
  • Plenty of flexibility for you to get your committed hours in during the week

As a Grassroots Associate, you will develop critical skills in communication and grassroots organizing. You will also work alongside a team of experienced and dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in New Hampshire.
