In the Northeast, 50% of Adult Ticks Carry Lyme Disease

A study co-authored by Dartmouth researchers, including Lucas Price, a former postdoc in geography, and Joseph Savage, a graduate student in the ecology, evolution, environment, and society program (EEES), reveals that up to 50% of adult blacklegged ticks carry Lyme-causing bacteria.
